The number of empowered company car drivers is
growing consistently. Like retail customers, they exercise choice
through experience of the product and the service which supports it.
Their gateway to this brand experience is the dealer network.
After-the-sale services now extend to alternative
transport, whether through courtesy car or discounted rental. In the
process, product exposure and customer retention opportunities can be
optimized.
Consequently, dealers operate a fleet of vehicles
which we have termed active units. They are deployed to service
demonstrator, test-drive, courtesy car and rental. This active fleet
represents an operational and financial resource of significant size.
The deployment and effective use of active units has
a direct impact of increasing importance on overall sales performance,
yet the constant pressure to cut costs means it is an activity which
must be thoroughly and continuously justified. `
Therefore, our objective is to offer a proposition
which leverages the dealer network resource more effectively,
economically and productively while improving influence over and benefit
from it's active fleet.
ControlTower
As the name implies, Contol Tower manages the
disposition and movement of every active unit at all times. It measures
how effectively each unit is used and ensures they are used for the
purpose intended. Through the process it gathers transaction data to
analyze performance and profile customers.
Dealer Perspective
The particulars and use of every active unit are put
onto the system. Thereafter it updates variables such as age and mileage
constantly. Each transaction is carried-out on the system easily and
simply and all the information is retained.
Units cannot be misused or confused, and the customer
always has an agreement to sign with the reassurance that legislative
and insurance requirements have been satisfied.
Performance analysis and customer data are
automatically provided.
Manufacturer Perspective
Management can see the whole picture all of the time
and monitor the disposition of every unit by national, regional, or
dealer location. So if a test-drive campaign is being planned or certain
recycling scenarios are being considered, the fleet can be accessed by
model particulars, region, the use to which they are put and so on.
Consequently, Management can be proactive in
controlling the number, mix and distribution of vehicles and benefits
from performance and customer data.
The Process
ControlTower is an internet delivered online system
hosted, managed and supported by
Nexus. This ensures simple integration with and adoption by
Manufacturers and Dealer networks with only access to Internet or
corporate Intranet required. There are no additional obligations and no ControlTower specific hardware requirements. Operators need just one
day’s training.
As the creators,
Nexus can customise or brand ControlTower to meet Manufacturers or
Dealer requirements. In effect, once the active units are added and the
system is configured for each activity, e.g. test-drive, rental, etc., ControlTower is ready to fulfill its’ role
